Barefoot Rick's Big D Dallas Marathon - April 12, 2015
I Corinthians 9:24 - Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win.
Temperature at start - 66 deg F
I was not totally sure what to expect from this marathon. Having ran the Jerusalem Marathon a month before, I had hopes of running another sub 5 hour marathon. I was not disappointed in the final outcome as show above. However, if I would not have stubbed my toe rather severely at mile 19, I would have possibly finished 15 or 20 minutes earlier. Then again, I would not have had the chance to meet Scott and Leanne Rainey (pictured below) if I would have kept up my pre-stubbed toe pace. All in all, even with the humidity and the stubbed toe, I ran 15 minutes faster than Jerusalem. It was a good day.
