1st Annual Santa Fun Run at Sprint Corporation - December 15, 2005
A couple of weeks ago, I was out running on a blustery cold day. This particular day, I was running around the Sprint Campus in Overland Park Kansas. As usual for this time of year, I had donned my Santa hat, because -- Hey! It's just plain fun! I thought, "Why not let others get in on the fun ... I should be trying to share this kind of fun with others." So, I sent out a meeting maker to few runners that I know at Sprint for the 1st Annual Santa Fun Run. It would be a 2.5 or 5 mile loop run and the only requirement was to wear a Santa hat!
Here are a few pics from our 1st annual run. Enjoy!
At 11:20, ten minutes before the start there were only a few of us.
Byron Rieper from Sprint North Supply joined us with 3 others.
Byron ran his first barefoot marathon 2 weeks ago in Las Vegas! Congrats Byron!
A few more of us a few minutes later.
